01
Treat a business change as a small coordinated project
A new phone number, relocation or identity refresh may affect more than one surface. List the places a customer sees the information: storefront, website, printed material, vehicle graphics and business profiles where applicable. Choose one owner for the approved update.
02
Keep the source files and decisions
Store authorised brand files, the installed-sign specification and relevant website ownership records in a controlled business location. Record which version is current. Separate passwords and sensitive access information from artwork folders and ordinary project notes.
03
Check physical changes before ordering replacements
Replacing artwork can affect material, dimensions, access or approval requirements. Confirm the revised scope with the supplier and the relevant premises/authority contacts when applicable. Do not assume an earlier permission automatically covers a changed sign or new location.
04
Verify the update from the customer’s side
After the change, inspect the actual public website and finished physical material rather than relying only on source files. Test changed contact links and record any old material that still needs replacement. Search engines and third-party listings may update on different schedules; track those separately.
