Hypothetical example
Put the decision in context.
A team retypes records between two supported tools. A small integration may be enough without building an entirely new portal.
Take these points into your brief.
Use this checklist to record what is agreed and what still needs confirmation.
- Current workflow and exceptions
- Existing-tool or integration option
- Roles and data ownership
For each item, keep the requirement, the supporting file or observation, and the person responsible for confirming it together.
Choose the right approach: your next step
Write down the problem this purchase must solve and the conditions that would make an option unsuitable. Compare the alternatives against those same requirements. If an important specification or approval is unknown, mark it as pending and ask the responsible supplier to resolve it before choosing. A visual preference is useful, but it should sit alongside the practical requirements in your decision.
